1. What We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up via Google, we receive:

Your email address
Your name
Your profile picture (if you have one)

Content You Provide

Resumes you upload or create
Job descriptions you paste
Application notes and status updates

Usage Data

Basic analytics like page views and feature usage. We use this to improve the product, not to track you around the internet.

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide the service: Processing your resume through AI, storing your applications
To process payments: Stripe handles this; we only store that you've paid, not your card details
To improve Jobbyx: Aggregate, anonymized usage patterns help us build better features
To contact you: Service updates, billing issues, or if you reach out to us

3. Third Parties

We work with a few trusted services:

Firebase (Google)

Authentication and database hosting

Stripe

Payment processing — they're PCI compliant and handle all card data

Anthropic (Claude)

AI processing for resume tailoring — your content is processed but not stored or used for training

We don't sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud) with industry-standard security:

Encryption in transit (HTTPS everywhere)
Encryption at rest
Access controls and authentication
Regular security updates

5. Your Rights

You can:

Access your data: It's all visible in your account
Export your data: Download your resumes anytime
Delete your data: Email us and we'll wipe everything within 30 days
Correct your data: Edit your resumes and applications directly

For EU users: You have additional rights under GDPR. Just reach out and we'll help.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in). We don't use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. If we add analytics later, we'll update this policy.

7. Data Retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days (some backup systems may take up to 90 days to fully purge).

We may retain anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes.

8. Children

Jobbyx is for adults (18+). We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you're a parent and think your child has used Jobbyx, contact us and we'll delete their data.

9. Changes

We'll update this policy as needed. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a notice in the app.
