The Short Version

The details below explain providers, retention, and your choices.

1. What We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up via Google, we receive:

• Your email address
• Your name
• Your profile picture (if you have one)

Content You Provide

• Resumes you upload or create
• Job descriptions you paste
• Application notes and status updates

Usage Data

Optional product analytics is off until you allow it. If enabled, Google Analytics receives route templates and named events such as saving a resume, creating an application, completing tailoring, or starting checkout.

We do not send resume text, job descriptions, employer names, form text, email addresses, Firebase user IDs, or application/document IDs to analytics. A verified Stripe transaction identifier, plan, currency, and amount may be included with a completed-purchase event so duplicate purchases can be recognized.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the service: Processing your resume through AI, storing your applications
• To process payments: Stripe handles this; we only store that you've paid, not your card details
• To improve Jobbyx: Aggregate, anonymized usage patterns help us build better features
• To contact you: Service updates, billing issues, or if you reach out to us

We don't sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.

4. Data Storage & Security

Saved account data is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud). The service uses:

• HTTPS for data in transit
• Google Cloud platform encryption at rest
• Authentication and per-account access controls
• Regular security updates

5. Your Rights

You can:

• Access your data: It's all visible in your account
• Export your data: Download your resumes anytime
• Delete your data: Request deletion from Settings or email us; account data is deleted within 30 days
• Correct your data: Edit your resumes and applications directly

6. Cookies

We use essential browser storage for authentication and preferences. Google Analytics does not load and does not set analytics cookies unless you choose “Allow analytics.” Advertising storage remains denied.

You can allow or withdraw analytics consent under Settings → Data & Privacy. The controls below provide the same choice without requiring an account. Withdrawing consent stops future collection and removes Google Analytics cookies accessible to this site. The choice is stored separately on each device.

7. Data Retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days (some backup systems may take up to 90 days to fully purge).

Optional GA4 collection remains disabled unless its property is configured with the two-month user/event retention setting. Aggregated reporting may remain after event-level data expires.

8. Children

Jobbyx is for adults (18+). We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you're a parent and think your child has used Jobbyx, contact us and we'll delete their data.

9. Changes

We'll update this policy as needed. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a notice in the app.
